-
Green Finance including new product development and design and implementation of capacity building programs. The goal is to help create new markets for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), clean water, sustainable agriculture, and other environmentally relevant business. Capacity Building for Green Finance
We are developing methodological approaches and creating capacity for scaled-up financing for green technologies. We focus on creating permanent capacity rather than delivering one-off credit lines.
Our bank partners finance loans and leases ranging from very small amounts to larger amounts for:
- Businesses and households that acquire Energy Efficiency/Renewable Energy and other green technologies, and
-
Businesses that manufacture, market, distribute, sell, install, and/or service Energy Efficiency/Renewable Energy and other green technologies
Solar water and space heating, high performance windows, heat recovery systems, photovoltaics, biomass boilers, run of river hydropower, heat pumps, cogeneration and waste recycling, improved efficiency vehicles, variable speed motors, and efficient compressors are among the technologies that are being financed. Where possible, we are developing standardized approaches (e.g. for similar building types in a given climatic region), although for many SMEs more in-depth individual assessments need to be undertaken.
