Technical Advisers on Energy Efficiency and Clean Water
We are looking for environmental engineers, energy auditors, and individuals with environmental degrees to join our team. The successful candidate(s) will support our staff in the implementation of energy efficiency and clean water projects around the world. He/she will provide technical support both at our office in Washington DC and through short-term assignments to our project countries. For this we are looking for both permanent employees and individuals that will be available on a project-by-project basis.
We are also looking for individuals that want to work on long-term assignments in Latin America, Africa and Eastern Europe. In our projects we pursue a broad approach which involves not only assessing technical and economic feasibility, but also raising awareness of environmental issues at the financial institutions we advise, providing comprehensive staff training and developing marketing strategies for new credit products. We encourage you to apply if you identify with our approach and vision, are curious about other countries and cultures, and have the following qualifications:
- a degree in a relevant subject and/or certification as an energy consultant/energy manager, at least 2 - 3 years* of practical experience in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy, including experience in conducting energy audits of equipment and buildings, or of clean water technologies.
- very good command of English (knowledge of other relevant languages is highly desirable)
- strong interpersonal skills coupled with the ability and determination to communicate authentically and openly
